“You have more than you think you have. You can do more than you think you can. You alone are responsible to use the intelligence, talents, abilities and gifts God has given to you.”
                                                     –Nancy Corbett Cole

Nancy Corbett Cole, “The Loveliest Lady in the Land,” was the embodiment of the word “grace.” Her extraordinary generosity and tender compassion changed the lives of thousands as she gave herself, her husband and their life together to help and serve others.

Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, she met Edwin Louis Cole when they served together in World War II. They married in Los Angeles and celebrated their 54th anniversary on January 31, 2000, before her death the following December.

Nancy co-authored the best-selling The Unique Woman with her husband, then wrote Tapestry of Life and Tapestry, Book II, which were published in more than ten languages.

Dear Friend of the “Loveliest Lady in the Land,”

Nancy did not want a marble monument nor even flowers – she just wanted perpetual care for the disadvantaged, disenfranchised and needy. Her desire was a living ministry, so her absence would never be felt by those she supported and loved.

The forgotten were Nancy’s favorites, the unloved, ignored and desperately needy.

The Bible says we have “faith, hope and love,” but the greatest is love because love is eternal. When Nancy went on to Heaven, her faith was no longer needed, her hope was realized, but she wanted her love for others to continue.

Nancy Corbett Cole Charities serve in perpetuity those Nancy loved – from local causes such as the woman whose husband ran off, leaving her destitute. The renowned minister’s wife who was left penniless at his death because of a crooked business manager. The young girl who was medically impaired.

To the national causes such as the orphans of war-racked countries, families threatened by drought, disease and terrorist extremists, and women who were abandoned and left behind by men who impregnated them, then moved on without conscience, enabled by their culture.

So intense was her desire, Nancy made me promise to help carry on her ministry of helps. To that end, and for that purpose, we have established Nancy Corbett Cole Charities to honor her memory by helping others.

Your compassionate contribution to this fund, either through purchases of books or otherwise, will help the helpless, secure the insecure, heal the hurting and meet the needs of the needy.

Thank you for honoring God with your gift toward the care and cause of the “Loveliest Lady in the Land.”
